WP8 | Training, Capacity Building, Engagement
Work Package (WP) 8, dedicated to training, is mainly aimed at the Italian user communities in order to equip them with interdisciplinary skills and competences specific to the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) sector. The aim is to train these communities on the resources that the H2IOSC RIs Cluster can offer at national and international level.
A key part of this objective is to train new professionals who can in turn train future generations on how to integrate Research Infrastructures into the research methods and practices of their respective disciplines with a train-the-trainer approach. Hence the need for modular and easily reusable teaching materials that teachers can integrate into their training courses as required.
To this end, WP8 developed a shared methodology for the design and adaptation of teaching materials intended as complex digital objects, inspired by the FAIR-by-Design Methodology promoted by the Skills4EOSC project.

The H2IOSC Training Infrastructure
The H2IOSC Training Infrastructure provides an integrated environment for accessible and reusable courses for both trainers and students. It consists of two platforms.
H2IOSC Training Environment

The H2IOSC Training Environment is a training management platform designed to offer a highly interactive virtual learning environment.
The platform allows users to:
Enroll in courses by accessing a large catalogue of courses, structured to meet the needs of students, professionals and, organizations.
Manage your page with an intuitive dashboard that allows you to monitor progress, consult teaching materials and, access certifications obtained.
Interact with the community thanks to collaborative tools such as forums, chats and, virtual working groups, where users can exchange ideas, solve problems and, create learning networks.
Designed to accommodate various needs, the H2IOSC Training Environment ensures a smooth and inclusive experience through an easy-to-use interface for both beginners and advanced users, compatible with desktop and mobile devices, for learning without space or time constraints. The platform emphasizes interactivity by offering quizzes, simulations, hands-on exercises and, gamification tools that make learning more engaging.
The H2IOSC Training Environment was developed within the framework of “WP8 – Training, Capacity Building, Engagement” of the H2IOSC project by the CNR ILC with the support of E.T.T. S.p.A.
To enroll spontaneously, simply register on the H2IOSC Training platform and accept the processing of your data!
H2IOSC Training Library

The H2IOSC Training Library platform is a repository designed for the deposit and storage of reusable teaching material for teachers and trainers. Through a simple and intuitive search interface, the platform allows the free download of teaching modules made available by teachers from the Italian and international community.
Through an upload interface, the platform will also allow registered users to deposit their teaching material (slides, audiovisuals, text, exercises, datasets, etc.) by attributing a Persistent Identifier, a Creative Commons licence and a standard citation, so that their work can be shared in a collaborative environment that respects the good practices of Open Science.
Designed for an audience of university lecturers and trainers in the humanities, the platform has as its starting point the Italian community but also intends to reach out to the International Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) community to foster the interchange of reusable teaching materials.
The H2IOSC Training Library platform is currently being developed.
This will enable teachers and trainers who publish their own teaching products to see their work recognised, which, in accordance with the licenses granted, can be adapted, translated and correctly cited by colleagues who wish to reuse it. On the other hand, the platform will provide a means of discovery and reusable teaching material to facilitate and enrich the work of teachers who are engaged in the didactic design of a course.
