H2IOSC at IEEE Conference on Cyber Humanities 2025

The National Research Council of Italy (CNR) will be prominently involved in the IEEE International Conference on Cyber Humanities 2025, taking place in Florence from 8 to 10 September 2025. The event explores intersections of humanities, emerging technologies, and critical digital infrastructures.

Through its Department of Social Sciences and Humanities – Cultural Heritage (DSU‑CH), the CNR grants institutional patronage, and Director Salvatore Capasso will deliver the opening address.

The conference is co-organized by DARIAH-IT and supported by H2IOSC.

As part of the program, on 9 September, 9:00–11:20, two of the research infrastructures belonging to the H2IOSC cluster will host dedicated workshops:

  • DARIAH Workshop on Securing Knowledge: Cyber Humanities and the Future of Critical Research Infrastructures
  • CLARIN and Cyber Humanities: Synergies for Innovation in Humanities Research

The presence of internationally renowned keynote speakers gives the event global resonance and reinforces the strategic relevance of Cyber Humanities in today’s research landscape.

Industrial Session:
Held on 9 September, 14:00–15:20, chaired by Gohar Sargsyan (TCS), with DELL, Meta, Net7, Mathema, Minds, 4Science – showcasing innovation, technology transfer and critical infrastructure applications.

H2IOSC Virtual Session: Cyber Humanities Meets Digital Heritage
The conference will also feature a special joint session fully dedicated to H2IOSC, scheduled at the end of the conference day on 9 September, from 16:40 to 17:20. This joint event will bring together the IEEE Cyber Humanities and Digital Heritage conferences
