H2IOSC took part in IRCDL 2026 – the 22nd Conference on Information and Research Science Connecting to Digital and Library Science (formerly the Italian Research Conference on Digital Libraries), held on February 19–20, 2026, in Modena, Italy.
Since 2005, IRCDL has represented a key annual event for the Digital Libraries research community, bringing together scholars and professionals working across computer science, digital humanities, cultural heritage, and related domains.

Daniele Melaccio (CNR ILC, CLARIN-IT) presenting the H2IOSC Training Library
The conference provided an important opportunity to showcase concrete outcomes developed within the H2IOSC cluster through two contributions:
- “MetaFAIR Ecosystem for SSH Digital Libraries: Dataset Packaging, Validation, and SPARQL Publication”
- “FAIR Training Materials for Disciplinary Research Infrastructures: Metadata, Vocabularies, and Selective Harvesting in the H2IOSC Ecosystem.”
Presented by DARIAH-IT and CLARIN-IT, these works highlighted tangible results of the H2IOSC ecosystem, focusing on FAIR-oriented services, interoperable workflows, and tools supporting Digital Libraries in the Social Sciences and Humanities.

Francesco Pinna and Federica Spinelli (CNR OVI DARIAH-IT) presenting the MetaFAIR Ecosystem
Overall, the H2IOSC contributions demonstrated how interoperable tools, validated workflows, and FAIR-oriented training can effectively support the evolution of Digital Libraries toward more open, connected, and sustainable research ecosystems. The papers presented at the conference will be published in the IRCDL 2026 Proceedings, released by CEUR-WS as a gold open access publication and indexed in SCOPUS and DBLP.
