An important meeting recently took place in Rome on July 2nd, which brought together 33 Research Infrastructure Managers from NRRP projects to discuss various topics. These included research communication and internationalization, economic management models, open science, standardization of performance indicators, funding guarantees for service continuity, stakeholder identification, and the sustainability of Research Infrastructures in the long term.
Veronica Colautti, the H2IOSC’s Research Infrastructure Manager also participated in the meeting.
The event aimed to encourage the adoption of innovative organizational models and methods in the research sector. It also aimed to reconsider some of the added-value services provided by the research infrastructures, adopting a managerial approach. The goal was to provide insights for the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) in shaping its future strategies and programs.
Research Infrastructure Managers foster innovation by facilitating access to the digital research ecosystems. Their role encompasses engaging with businesses, students, citizens, and policymakers, providing them with data, models, and analysis to contribute to research advancement across diverse disciplinary fields.
