The H2IOSC project is promoting an online one-day training focused on Voyant tools. Organised by CLARIN IT and CNR ILC this training was aimed at the ITSERR project team, which refers to the multidisciplinary RESILIENCE Research Infrastructure and open to open to the wider H2IOSC community and external listeners. After the introduction, the group requested a further training session on the application of the Voyant tools to languages of interest, such as Hebrew, Arabic, Coptic and Ancient Greek. This highly specialised training meets H2IOSC’s objective of promoting the use of the products and services of the involved infrastructures among the Italian SSH community.
The lesson will focus on how to use the Voyant Tools, which can be accessed from CLARIN’s Language Resource Switchboard. After an introduction on distant reading, Rachele Sprugnoli will offer a tutorial of the tool and the final part of the meeting will be devoted to a practical test in which participants will be able to apply the skills learnt on texts of interest.
