Rome, CNR Headquarters
Research Infrastructures are among today’s most powerful drivers of innovation, enabling stronger connections between scientific expertise, advanced technologies, and the concrete needs of industry and society. Within this framework, the workshop “Research Infrastructures for Innovation” will take place on April 22, 2026, at the headquarters of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR) in Rome.
Promoted by CNR and the Italian Network of Research Infrastructure Managers, the event is designed as a dynamic platform for dialogue between companies, organizations, policymakers, and the scientific community, with the aim of strengthening collaboration and fostering new partnerships.

Throughout the day, participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with the representatives of 33 Research Infrastructures funded under the NextGenerationEU / PNRR programme, including H2IOSC, within a comprehensive ecosystem that spans strategic areas such as digital technologies and data, energy, environment, health and food, physical sciences and engineering, and social and cultural innovation.
More than a traditional workshop, this initiative represents a concrete opportunity to explore synergies, activate cooperation pathways, and better understand the role of Research Infrastructures as key enablers of sustainable development, competitiveness, and technological and social transition.
Participation is free of charge, with registration required no later than April 20.
